Saturday 15 July: 20km or 8km or 5km  ....spectacular scenes and amazing trail running fun! think cattle tracks, waterfalls, bridges, Aloes ......lots of it!

Sunday 16 July Train & Trail: 20km - do not miss it!! You will have an amazing 1h30min train ride and then get dropped off to race the train home....

** Please note Entry fees are non-refundable for the train, unless you can find a  substitute (Truly sorry but we book seats on the train that we are responsible for)

Late Entries Will Be Accepted on the day for Trail Running Events NOT the TRAIN & TRAIL.

Families/Friends that would like to join runners on the train (Sunday) can purchase spectator tickets online. Adults R180 / Kids R90

Sunday 16 July: Rail & Ride 30km MTB

30km Rail and Ride.  An amazing 2h30min steam train ride up to Riverside station and back before you get dropped off on the way home to get a closer glimpse of the spectacular aloes along the beautiful Umzimkulu river on purpose built single track and cattle paths taking you back to Creighton station. 

This is not a race it’s about the ride so less technical options will open up along the route for those planning a family outing.


Families/Friends that would like to join runners on the train (Sunday) can purchase spectator tickets online. Adults R180 / Kids R90


No helmet, No Ride

Hydration pack 1.5L



Participants and passengers will depart from the Creighton Train Station at 07:00am sharp. The train will meander along the Umzimkulu river for about an +- 1h30min before the Trail runners will be dropped off to start their race back to Creighton. The rest of the Mountain bikers and passengers will stay on the train. The train will then turn around at the Riverside Station. On the way back  after about 2h30min the mountain bikers will be dropped off to start their race.  Passengers will remain in the train and then disembark once they get to back to Creighton Station. 

Please NEVER cross under the train - this is extremely dangerous!

It's pretty cold in the morning so pack warm clothes, pack your camera's and a picnic basket. You will be able to buy coffee/tea and snacks on the train. 

Breakfast and lunch can be purchased at the Creighton Sports Club. There's also various stalls and entertainment at the club to keep your famliy/friends busy.

Bike Drop on Sunday for Train Ride:

Sunday from 06:00am @ Creighton Sports Club you can drop your bikes to be transported to the start. Bikes will be waiting at the start for you when you get off the train.

Start Time:

The Train will depart at 07:00am from the Creighton Train Station. Please do not be late as the train will not be delayed for any late arrivals, the train has a schedule to stick to as there are other train rides booked for the rest of the day.

On the Train:

Please note NO refreshments will be sold on the train , so please feel free to bring your own picnic

Beacon and egg rolls, coffee/tea will be sold at registration


T-Shirts to the first 100 Entrants in the trail run & 200 t-shirts to the entrants who enter Train Trail Run or the MTB Train Race. 


Medals will be awarded to finishers. 


Kids entertainment will be available at the venue (jumping castle, slides etc.)


Food & Beverages in the form of farm stalls. 


Market Stalls will be at the venue selling clothing and various other products.
