PRIZES & PRIZE MONEY:

R100 000 in prize money to the top 3 male and female riders across all races. There will also be lucky draw prizes.

BIKE STORAGE AND SHUTTLE SERVICES:

There will be a bike storage facility for the 100km participants at Giba Gorge on Saturday night. Bring your bike to registration on Saturday the 7th of September and leave it in the storage unit at Giba Gorge -FOR FREE- to minimise hassles on the morning of the race.

There will be a MOJA Cruise shuttle service between Blue Lagoon and Giba Gorge on Sunday Morning (Time TBC) for those who have left their bikes in overnight storage. This will also be -FOR FREE-.

NB: All 100km riders wishing to us the above transport and storage services must please notify Tennille at cycle@godurban.co.za before the cut-off date on Wednesday the 4th of September.

Please not that these services will not be available for the 50km and the 20km events. Competitors for these events will need to make their own way through to the start of their respective events (please see locations in the table above).

ROUTE DESCRIPTION:

100km – The Harden Riders !! - Starting at Giba Gorge the riders make their way through the sugar cane fields of Hillcrest and down to Inanda Dam where they will experience superb single track close to the waters each before hitting the Durban Green Corridors single track to Kwadebeka before a quick finish on the flat section down to Blue Lagoon. The total climb on this Iconic Route will be over 2000 meters

50km – The Weekend Warriors!!! - Starting on sublime single track of Inanda Dam the riders then hit the Durban Green Corridors single track through Kwadebeka before a quick finish on the flat section down to Blue Lagoon

20km – The Racing Snakes & Novices!! They will get to Blue Lagoon in under a hour on this nice flat section parallel to the Umgeni River. This is also an opportunity for the novices to experience some awesome single track that is not particularly technical

RACE GIVEAWAYS:

The first 500 pre entries will receive goodie bags. Please note that the contents will be based on the entry and the distance.

MEDALS:

Medals will be given out to participants.

KIDS ENTERTAINMENT:

Kids entertainment will be available at Giba Gorge on Saturday 07 September from 11h00 to 14h00.

T-shirts for purchase at R200. 

Please note that if you purchase T-shirts before 7 August, you will receive your shirt at registration. If you purchase after the 7th August, you will only receive your shirt a few weeks after the event.



E-BIKE:

E-bikers will be allowed to participate in the 100km and 50km events only. You will be asked if your riding an E-bike in the entry process for these two events.
