If you weren't at this year's aQuellé Hermannsburg Mudman, you missed out on loads of fun, adventure, laughter and excitement. This family-oriented multi-sport event attracted over 600 athletes, who brought along family and friends to support and share the day with them. The sponsors pulled out all the stops to support the day and the athletes walked off with some wonderful prizes.

The annual event kicked off with the Spur Mudskipper Adventure. A brand new track was designed for the over 200 children taking part. Proud parents accompanied the youngest ones, while the older children braved the course on their own. We hope to see them tackling the Mudman course in years to come.

This year saw several highlights: the Corporate Challenge was reinvigorated by the many local businesses that participated, and was won by Pidelta's First Second Team. Mondi sponsored no less than five development teams, one of which won the Kids' Corporate Challenge. The Russell White Academy sponsored another winning development team, and we hope that more businesses will continue to support this initiative.

Justin Porteous was a favourite to win the full-distance individual open men's division, but was beaten to the post by Tyronne White. The ladies' full-distance individual open division was won by Su Don-Wauchope, with Sarah Gray (a previous winner) coming in second. Full details of all winners can be viewed on the Mudman and ROAG websites. As usual, the course was praised by all the athletes, as one of the most picturesque in the Mudman Series. The Hermannsburg surroundings are also very spectator-friendly,as they can view the swimming/paddling, cycling and running from their favourite spots, without having to move around.
A big thank you has to go to everybody who came to support us on the day, to the officials, the staff and school family who worked so hard to make the day happen, and to all our sponsors for their generous support.
