Did the 45 km ride yesterday. I feel for the amount of money we paid for the entry, R180. They could have put together a better goodie bag. And all so supplied one or two extra water tables on the route. Whats up with that! One water table at the 17 km mark. Surely that is not adequate? Otherwise a nice and well organised event and venue.

The track itself was fantastic.
A few things need improvement from the organisers side. More water stops for the 45km.

For such a well sponsored race I would have hoped to have seen better quality medals. Goodie bags were only supposed to be for pre entries however they were left on a table for everyone to help themselves to, the content of the goodie bags were not up to standard. I think I speak for many when I say receiving a few flyers and a bottle of water was very disappointing to say the least.
Prize giving was held too late, and again a bit of a disappointment. Riders do not want to hang around for hours. I believe there was supposed to
be a lucky draw prize for a men and ladies jersey which I did not see.

Other than that, there was a good vibe with music and families. Big up to the photographers that got involved in the action.

Great race at a great venue. Very poor distribution of goodie bags especially when you're told that all pre-entries will receive a goodie bag. Kids races poorly organised. Again no goody bag for pre-entry & no water bottle as promised for kids. Very cheap & nasty medals.

The course was great, enjoyed the single track,However 2nd waterpoint was hardly noticeable especially given the conditions. Both the goodie bag and medal was poorly managed. I didn't receive either of them

The batching in the 19km race turned out to be a disaster. I understand that you'd like all the ankle biters to ride together, but when we reached the single track, the better riders got stuck behind a number of these kids. Basically spent the entire single track section (which is supposed to be the most fun!) stopping at the bottom of every uphill, downhill, sharp corner etc. VERY disappointing.

We had a great day! Well organized but the goodie bag was a bit empty. Will be back again next year for sure.

For R180, it was rather disappointing. The ablutions and shower facilities were a shocker. There were medals??? Never saw one. Goodie bags were dismal and not given out at registration. I was given a 19km sticker instead of a 45km - no train smash, but passing a comment. I only saw one water table. There were no ice cold bottles of water at the finish which normally happens at a race. However I enjoyed the track and the all the amazing people I rode with.
Thank You.

EXCEPTIONALLY poorly organized Kids 10km race - What a farce at the start !
I'm surprised no one was hurt in that train-smash start ....
Correction : I did see a little girl in tears 20 metres into the race and her dad pushing/carrying 2 bikes (he looked furious!)

And no water table for the kids on a blistering hot day - Would have been so easy to set up one at the Start/Finish (was a 2 lap x 5km course!)

Come on guys - We're supposed to be encouraging these youngsters into the sport, not treating them as an inconvenience (especially after charging them R90 to cycle 10km)
